After the success of our centenary celebrations last year we are back for another day of inspiring physics talks and demonstrations for 14-18 year-olds given by two of the UK’s best known science communicators.

Lunch and Activities

Over the lunch period students have the opportunity to take part in tours or talks. If the weather is fine there are plenty of green open spaces on campus where you can enjoy a packed lunch but there are also a number of outlets on campus where food can be bought.

Places are limited for the extra lunchtime activities so please request only two of the three options listed below. Please indicate option 1&2, 1&3 or 2&3 clearly in any replies.

  1. Tour of campus – a chance to see more of university life on campus
  2. Tour of the physics department – includes demonstrations in our undergraduate laboratories.
  3. UCAS and careers talks – more information about the applications process and what a physics degree can do for you
