The Thermal Methods Laboratory, wwhich is one of several labs within the UniS Materials Institute, contains brand new instruments for a wide variety of research. Here researchers in the Soft Condensed Matter Group can discover the mechanical, structural and thermal properties of novel materials. From the left, you can see instruments for thermal mechanical analysis, modulated differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis, thermal gravimetric analysic, and rheology.
